Dr. Lance Read, Oral + Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. Robert Naples and the team at Naples Oral and Facial Surgery are thrilled to welcome Dr. Lance Read.
Dr. Read graduated from the Baylor School of Dentistry. Afterward, he remained at Baylor where he completed his training in oral surgery. He served as an Oral Surgeon in the Navy for three years in Pensacola, Florida. He then joined the medical staff at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center, where was the Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for the past 20 years. While in practice at BSW, Dr. Read has excelled in providing comprehensive surgical care all the way from emergency surgical care to the removal of wisdom teeth, implant placement as well as orthognathic and dental alveolar surgery.
A man with a very big heart, Dr. Read’s friendly, professional manner puts patients at ease immediately, while his Texas roots lets patients know here’s a man who will go out of his way to help others.

Professional Memberships
Dr. Read and his wife Jill live north of Austin and have a small ranch where they raise sheep, cattle, corn, and wheat. He married a farmer’s daughter, and they love spending time working together, while also raising their three sons. When not working on the ranch, he spends his time serving his church community as well as enjoying a quiet moment with a good book.
